Lumut Port Celebrates Aidilfitri with Joy, Unity and Local Flavours

[2025, April 30] Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd (Lumut Port) marked this year’s festive season with a heartwarming Majlis Sambutan Aidilfitri 2025, held at Dewan Merdeka Perbandaran Manjung. The event brought together over 800 guests, including employees, clients, former staff, government officials and valued stakeholders, in a vibrant celebration of unity, gratitude and community spirit.

Guests were treated to a good spread of 25 mouthwatering dishes, from traditional ketupat and rendang to nasi kandar, soto, mee kari, satay and freshly brewed coffee. What made the feast even more special was Lumut Port’s commitment to supporting local businesses. Instead of relying on a single caterer, the port engaged 20 vendors from Manjung, giving small entrepreneurs a platform to shine.

One of them was Mohamad Aidil Ikhwan bin Mohamad Nor (26), a young entrepreneur of NVF Coffee, a pop-up coffee business that started just last December. “Lumut Port’s catering initiative has given us a chance to expand beyond our usual spot, boost our revenue and introduce our brand to a wider audience,” he shared.

Adding to the festive cheer were two themed photo booths—one with a classic Raya aesthetic and another with a fun, colourful Magazine Box Style, where guests snapped keepsake photos, creating lasting memories of the joyous occasion.

A message of gratitude from the CEO

In a heartfelt video message, CEO Dato’ Haji Mubarak Ali Gulam Rasul expressed his appreciation to all attendees, emphasizing that the event was a gesture of gratitude and a step toward strengthening bonds with stakeholders. His warm wishes resonated deeply with the crowd.

“This gathering is more than a festive tradition; it’s a testament to our commitment to uplifting local communities, as seen through our collaboration with 20 Manjung vendors, and to nurturing the relationships that drive our progress. Your dedication, as employees, clients and stakeholder, is the foundation of Lumut Port’s success.”

Among the distinguished guests was ACP Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah, Ketua JSJ Komersial IPK Perak, who has been instrumental in guiding Lumut Port on its Auxiliary Police formation. He shared that events like this foster stronger relationships between Lumut Port and its partners.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and celebrate as one community,” he remarked.

The Aidilfitri Open House was more than just a festive gathering—it reflected Lumut Port’s dedication to uplifting local businesses, nurturing relationships and celebrating the spirit of togetherness. As laughter, delicious food and lively conversations filled the hall, it was clear that the true essence of Raya—harmony, generosity and joy—was alive and thriving.

Here’s to many more meaningful celebrations ahead!
