MANAGER

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing and leading maintenance procedures and actions in the company. Duties include managing the maintenance activities for the machinery, warehouses, landscapes, and offices. Ensuring the safety and efficiency of the employees and terminal, and at the same time comply with the organizational requirements and company procedures. Provide management support in making profitable long-term and short-term business decisions that meet high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible to lead the Technical Services Division on operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment plants within the Company’s premises and jurisdiction.
  • Ensuring that all material handling equipment is kept in good operating condition at all times and unscheduled shutdown is kept at a minimum.
  • To plan and implement a systematic inventory system for spare, tool and consumable material at optimum level to avoid hindrance to port operation.
  • Liaison with Government Agencies, Local Authorities and Statutory Bodies pertaining to maintenance and engineering matters.
  • Standard Terms and Conditions of Service Liaison with Local Contractors and Vendors pertaining to maintenance, engineering and procurement matters.
  • Plan, schedule and implement preventive and corrective maintenance systems on all company equipment.
  • Plan, schedule and implement the premise housekeeping.
  • To be KPI-focused and monitor the pre-set KPIs at the Division.
  • Establish key result areas and maintain performance measurement systems and targets.

Qualification:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ working experience as Manager in related field.

Skills:

  • Analytical and meticulous in performing task assigned.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Possess meticulous, detail-oriented, and inquisitive traits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A team player with good communication skills, able to interact with people from all levels.
