Job Description:

Responsible and accountable for the smooth running of all computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. Spearhead and supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing and system needs.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Manage all information technology and computerized systems in the Company (including but not limited to ERP – Pronto Xi, Port system – PMIS, E-Sourcing, HSSE system -Vault, unmanned weighbridge, etc.).
• Lead and head all information technology projects and initiatives.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT, computerized systems and electronic data operations.
• Manage IT department an IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures related to IT.
• Ensure the security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Perform systems audit and assess their outcomes.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Adhere to all LMTSB HSSE policies and procedures.
• To perform any other duties, functions and responsibilities as directed/assigned by the Management.

Qualification:

• Candidate must possess at least bachelor’s degree in IT or relate field.
• Proven working experience as an IT Manager or any IT relevant experience in equivalent position.
• Minimum of 10 years in managerial position.
• Experience working in Port will be an added advantage.
• Impressive knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware /software systems.
• Expertise in data centre management and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and installation, system development, knowledge of coding and scripting, server management, IoT management and system administrator.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange.

• Excellent Management and leadership skills, assertive, committed, and able to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently.
• Able to multi-task and possess time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Highly organized, meticulous, detail oriented and inquisitive traits .
• A good team player with good communication skills, able to interact with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, Government authorities and LMTSB team from all levels.
• Excellent documentation/written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
