ASSISTANT MANAGER SECURITY

Job Description:

Reporting to Deputy General Manager Safety in executing a robust security surveillance and system for LMTSB. He/She will also be required to assist in developing security policies and procedures for the security department, oversee all necessary training modules and procedures for security assistant, provide up-to-date security approach and protection to important persons when necessary. He/She will be responsible for managing and minimizing the safety/security risks for LMTSB premise and teams inclusive of our employees, clients, and members of the public, by proactively supporting and coordinating security efforts across the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Head of Department to enhance the physical protection responsibilities that’s includes asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, employee education and awareness.
  • Implement policies, templates, procedures, and guidelines for security measures related to our facilities and assets (depots, terminals, warehouses etc.) making sure that they are adequately protected and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure security systems to be consistent across the confidential working stations.
  • Schedule risk audit plan to ensure the company is at the highest performance of security policy and to meet the requirement from customer.
  • Perform investigation on accident/incidents happen in workplace, security breaches and legal matters.
  • Ensure LMTSB Security & QHSE SOP implemented to all front liner and perform continuous monitoring for upskill and improvement purposes.
  • Manage and facilitate the good relationships with the local enforcement community.
  • Develop and propose security training program to help build up a strong security team.
  • Collaborate with project and operational team for site management on security and safety performance for workers on field.
  • Support Management in organization key initiatives.
  • Adhere to all LMTSB HSSE policies and procedures.
  • To perform any other duties, functions and responsibilities as directed/assigned by the Management.

Qualification:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
  • At least 10 years working experience in the security field is required for this position.
  • Possessed certificates in CPR, First Aid Management, Basic Fire Fighting, or any in any related certification for the position.
  • No criminal record.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership skills, assertive, committed, and able to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Possess meticulous, technical, detail-oriented, and inquisitive traits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A team player with good communication skills, able to interact with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, Government authorities and LMTSB team from all levels.
  • Excellent documentation/written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
